Advancing Technology Transfer in Robotics

Within the past years tremendous advancements in robotics technology have enabled a new generation of applications in fields as diverse as manufacturing, logistics, medicine healthcare, and other commercial and consumer markets segments. RIM@GT research trusts leverage the strengths and resources of Georgia Tech by reaching cross traditional boundaries to embrace a multidisciplinary approach. Our faculty and staff are engaged in cross-campus partnerships that significantly increase opportunities for the kind of practical innovation that will be useful to society. This broad-based commitment to robotics is evident in more than a dozen laboratories at Georgia Tech performing robotics-related work. The potential applications for robotics are wide ranging; it makes sense that our path to discovering those applications is equally wide and inclusive as well.
